Got the model number off the dryer. Looked it up online. I wanted name brand replacement part. Found this wonderful AppliancePartsPros.com. Looked up my model number, went to top control panel section, ordered the Start Switch. In ONE DAY I received it. Removed the back part of my dryer. Easily removed the broken part. I replace the old timer with the new one I purchased from appliance parts pros.com I removed the nuts from back of top console of the dryer. Removed the electrical prongs from the old timer and then replace with new timer than plug dryer in wall and started the dryer on timed cycle and the heating elements kicked in and my wife was smiling from ear to ear. After watching the how to video twice I decided to embark on dismantling my dryer and attempting to replace my motor. After realizing that the main tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver I was sure I could handle this repair. One by one I took apart the dryer and spread out the parts throughout my mud room. 1.5 hrs later and I have a working dryer, and most of all a happy wife. A few months back I changed out the "Bearing Slides" on the front side of the drum thinking that would stop the annoying squeaking every time we use the dryer. They were very worn and one was missing. But to my dismay it only lessened it by about 10%. After doing a bit more research I discovered the "Rear Shaft Bracket Assembly" also needed replacement. I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts.
