I used Fixya as an initial source describing my problem. I got two responses which were very helpful. One that the "coils" were probably the problem. Two, that the problem could be the thermostat or a thermistor in the dryer. I seared the web and found Appliance Parts Pros site and when I input my GE refrigerator model number I was able to do some diagnostics on their site. It was indicated from my research that the Water Inlet valve most likely was at fault for my problems. It was the day of my birthday June 6th when my wife came to me to tell me that the dryer was not working. Immediately I started to look for a new dryer from Best Buy and the rest. • Not dispensing water

I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video and decided to remove the front panel to diagnose the problem. While the repair video is excellent, I could not remove the ice/water dispenser front panel with a putty knife. On my model, 106.56234400, there is no clip that can be released by sliding a putty knife up under the front panel. First I checked the circuit breakers and power to the outlet, then next wanted to check the lid switch, but it wasn't where I had found it on older models. I could hear it clicking on and off as I raised and lowered the lid, but it wasn't visible. A thumping sound (like sneakers in the dryer) started happening. We stopped using it so that it wouldn't get worse and potentially break more parts. Online research suggested rear drive shaft would be the problem. But also suggested while we have the dryer apart, would be smart to replace the belt and the slides/glides (green and white plastic tabs in front, attached to the door). I knew from the loud sound during the spin cycle that the bearings were going out, I ordered a gearcase part number W11455453 (AP6993918) which has the bearings, tub seal, and shaft altogether which makes the repair much easier to complete. I will say you should also order the spanner wrench it makes taking the spanner nut off and putting back on much easier also, part number TB123B (AP6832671). I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump.
