Repair went well, replaced the pulley wheel, belt, rear drum bearing. Had an issue after replacement with the dryer stopping after ~5mins or so when running with heat. Fluff cycle would run fine. Details: The lock nut on the pulley wheel didn't feel tight enough so i tried to crimp it back on the pulley arm. It then became way too lose. When I looked up the part number there was a handy video that popped up. I watched the video and thought "how easy!" so, I ordered that part and waited. A quick google search lead me to the problem - the plastic door gasket had become loose and broken. Received the part very quickly and installed it that night after a little trial and error. What the videos don't tell you is that to properly 'seat' the gasket you need to angle it UP when you push it into the little gap. I knew from the loud sound during the spin cycle that the bearings were going out, I ordered a gearcase part number W11455453 (AP6993918) which has the bearings, tub seal, and shaft altogether which makes the repair much easier to complete. I will say you should also order the spanner wrench it makes taking the spanner nut off and putting back on much easier also, part number TB123B (AP6832671). The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. Found the entire top bearing support plastic piece was completely worn through, the bearing slides had all disappeared some time ago. So it was obviously the problem. The felt trap duct (which is actually a drum seal along bottom front of drum so I don't know why they call it felt trap duct) had also disappeared, so a lot of lint was getting inside the front panel too. The only problem was that my existing wiring harness was affixed to the inside of my refrigerator, whereas in the video, the existing cord was shown as readily disconnectable, so I was unsure how to proceed. I am not an electrician, just a housewife with limited funds and a desire to DIY. I unplugged the fridge and took all the food and shelving out of the freezer and then proceeded to take off the bottom sliding drawer rack on both sides off (4 Phillips head screws). Then took off the light bulb cover and then the light bulb. Then the back wall that covers the coils and tubes that the refrigerant runs through ( 2 screws with hex head).
