Kenmore / Sears Washer Parts

Water became visible as it accumulated at the bottom rear part (the part that is tilted back) of the washer drum. I theorized that the valve controlling water flow into the machine was to blame. Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. My appliance is a Kenmore, and even though the video mentioned lots of other brands, it showed the exact same problem I was having. My dispenser motor just spun and spun, never stopping at the various positions it was apparently supposed to. Then it would trip the F30 code. Since I hadn't found the Tech Sheet for the washer (which there should be one inside the top cover) I simply thought I'd buy the drive motor (and a new belt, a.k.a "cheap insurance"). Installed the motor once I'd received it from AppliancePartsPros, the washer worked a couple of cycles then gave me the same "SrV CLL" message. I spoke with the experts at parts pro and they suspected the main power board. I ordered the main power board along with the control panel. Since I was taking everything apart I decided to replace other components as well- thermostats, thermistor , sensor wire. When I was all done the old LG was back to working like new. Remove the two valves at back of washer, only 4 screws, remove the electrical clamps, replace with valves, easy, 20 minutes to fix, and a woman did it, saved $320.00, yahoo Read more

This hose did not just attach to the back of the washer--that would have been too easy. This hose went into the back of the washer, under the tub & attached to the pump at the front of the washer. Both the back & front of the washer had to be removed to access the hose. Luckily the crack was at an external spot where it was easily seen; unluckily my husband was out of town at the time & I had to take the washer apart & put it back together. I replaced the cycle switch, fixing the lack of heat. The timer switch replacement fixed the auto cool down. I watched a cycle switch replacement on Youtube, demonstrating removal of the top console, which answered the only question I had about the repair. The timer switch was a hundred bucks. The only thing to be said about that is that it was a lot cheaper than a repairman or replacing the dryer. Read more

Replaced all three dampers and then replaced locking gaskets for the top spring mounts for the drum, replaced the old feet pads I had and works like a charm! Read more

REMOVED BACK PANEL, USED PLYERS TO REMOVE CLAMP, PULLED OLD HOSE OFF, REVERSED PROCEDURE TO INSTALL NEW HOSE. TOTAL TIME ABOUT 10 MINUTES. Read more

I also noticed one of the two water recirculation outlets near the front door was no longer spraying water. When I took it all apart, I found that these two tub water recirculation outlets are both connected to the pump.. one was clogged. The impeller on the drain pump was no longer spinning with the motor.. looks like it was worn on the inside.. when I took the pump apart it was full of scale. Followed the instructional video on how to replace water pump. Also, as a back up measure we replaced the drain hose assembly thinking this may have been clogged with fabric softener residue. A success and wash machine works like it is brand new! No more fabric softener in this house again. Read more

I tore it apart using. YouTube videos to guide me and found the shocks were loose and floppy. I found the shocks in stock here and had them in my hand 2 days later for only $10 shipping! It runs great now! Read more
