This water inlet valve opens and closes to control water entering your appliance. A worn or stuck valve can cause fill problems or leaks—replacing it restores proper water flow and reliable operation.
Replaced water valve to fix water not going to door, easy enough to do. Replaced icemaker which was corroded inside the cube-forming trays causing black flakes to come off stuck to the ice cubes, and was also leaking causing the water to drip into the ice bucket making one giant ice cube. Ten-minute job, which took an hour and a half. this is a 25-year-old unit and I only had access to the plug on the back of the icemaker, the other end was behind the rear wall. The wire was simply not long... Read more
This electrically actuated valve controls the flow of household water into your appliance during operation. Replacing a sticking or leaking valve restores proper fill performance and helps prevent unwanted dripping between cycles. What it does:
After some research on the internet,I found out that the most likely cause was a failed water inlet valve. The refrigerator is quite old so I wasn't going to spend an arm and leg on it to fix it. I was pleasantly surprised to find the part, at a reasonable price, that I needed on this website with a helpful how-to video to boot. The part I needed wasn't in stock. I was followed up with an e-mail stating an estimated time when the part would be released. A week or so later I received the... Read more
This overfill float and shaft assembly monitors the dishwasher's water level. As the tub fills, the float rises and triggers the float switch to shut off the inlet water, helping prevent overfilling and leaks.
Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit. The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. The Float Switch Kit (attached to, and below the float, below and outside the tank) has a folding plastic cover which fastens with plastic clips. If you open the switch kit before removing the... This overfill control float assembly sits in the dishwasher tub and rises with the water level. It works with the float switch to shut off the inlet valve, helping prevent overfilling and potential leaks.
Removed front kick plate, found overflow valve assembly leaking . When parts arrived removed and replaced overflow valve. Took about 10 minutes Read more
This smart electronic valve regulates on/off flow inside the appliance under command of the control system, helping the unit fill, dispense, or operate as designed. A precise, electronically driven valve is critical for consistent performance.
It was a very simple fix....I just reconnected the supply tubes and electric harness....... Read more
This small filter sits inside the refrigerator's water inlet solenoid valve to trap sediment from the household water supply. Replacing a clogged or damaged filter helps protect the valve and can restore normal water dispenser and ice maker flow.
I replaced the water solenoid assembly, defrosted the freezer and removed the ice buildup, used the exhaust of a vacuum to melt the remaining ice in the freezer defroster drain. The guidance of the Chat Line was invaluable to me because I would never have found the water solenoid valves nor the drain hose in the freezer. The first effort prior to ordering parts was to turn off and disconnect the water source in the hopes of stopping the dripping into the refrigerator compartment. Then before... Read more
Fits most Kitchen Aid dishwashers. Replaces old 2 coil valves.
Performed diagnostic continuity tests on fill valve and overflow switch as recommended. Fill valve continuity test failed. Ordered part Saturday, shipped the following Monday, in my hands by the following Wednesday, installed and operational by Thursday. Great service! Thanks. Read more
This single-solenoid water inlet valve controls the flow of water from your home supply into the refrigerator's water system, typically feeding the ice maker. A failing valve can stop fill, cause slow or inconsistent fills, or allow unwanted seepage.
Replaced it. Water lines are quick connect type. Putting the part back in the holding bracket was a bit challenging. Not much space to work with. Read more
