This dishwasher cam assembly is a precision-molded drive component that converts rotation into the timed movement the mechanism needs. Replacing a worn cam helps restore smooth, reliable actuation during the cycle and reduces sticking or misalignment.
- Converts rotational input into precise motion for the linked latch/actuator mechanism
- Maintains proper timing and engagement so the mechanism operates when commanded
- Wear or cracking can lead to slipping, binding, or incomplete travel
- Typical symptoms: associated action fails to engage/release at the right time, intermittent operation, or clicking/grinding noises from the mechanism
What's included: 1 cam assembly Installation notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker and shut off water before servicing
- Access the mechanism; note cam orientation and linkage positions
- Transfer any reusable pins/springs; install the new cam in the same orientation
- Run a test cycle to ensure proper operation and check for leaks or abnormal noises

Simple by using 7/16 socket with long extension to remove the bolt and pull the whole agitator out and clean them. Put back in together with new parts. It works fine now.
