Maytag Washer Parts

I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine. The hardest part of the entire job was releasing the top of the washer to disconnect the hoses from the valve assembly. Everything else was relatively easy. We simply followed the online video. Checked catch filter and realized pump was gone. This is my 2nd time replacing a pump but 1st on machine. I have a cleaning business and my washer gets double the work. I replaced the switch, the plunger, plunger guide and the lid cam, but the cam still didn't turn on the switch. Turned out someone had stood on the washer and bent the lid slightly, not enough to notice, but since I had ruled out just about everything else I started looking at the lid itself. I ended up bending it back close to it's original shape and now it works fine. I guess I learned a few things about washing machines though. • No hot or cold water

I tested the Atc. mid level switch, with my multi tester and found it was not sending enough current to the cold water inlet valve, so it would not open and let cold water in. I replaced the switch, (it was a snap) literally it snapped in place. replace the front face and turned the water back on and plugged in the washer, and turned it on. It worked perfect and has been since. good and easy repair even for a novice like me.. Read more

I replaced the entire agitator (my appliance agitator could only be replaced in one part not the upper part only). It was super easy but one thing....the video on the website was not helpful because my maytag washer is older and does NOT have a screw down inside the agitator but has one 1/4 inch hex nut on the side down by the base. Good for me though because all I had to do was unscrew the nut, put the new agitator on, tighten the new nut and DONE!! Read more

I had removed three screws behind the control board cover of the washer, to access the old lid switch. I checked the continuety of the of the switch with a multimeter and it obviously failed the the test by displaying infinity of <1, rather than being 0. I removed the old switch with a flathead screw driver, I tested the new one and installed it in no time. Problem solved!!! Read more

With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY)... Read more
