Fix washer not filling, slow fill, or water leaks with this water inlet valve assembly. Moderate DIY repair, typically takes 30-60 minutes to install.
I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine. The hardest part of the entire job was releasing the top of the washer to disconnect the hoses from the valve assembly. Everything else was relatively easy. We simply followed the online video. My washer no longer screams and I'm thrilled! Your... Read more

This is a water inlet valve with a built-in thermistor that controls the flow of water into the washing machine while monitoring water temperature. The valve opens and closes electronically to fill the tub with the correct amount of hot and cold water based on the selected cycle. Replace this part if the washer is not filling with water, filling slowly, not stopping the fill, or if the water temperature is incorrect during wash cycles.

Washer only fills with hot water or stops mid-cycle? The water temperature switch controls incoming water temps for proper cycle selection. DIY repair.
I tested the Atc. mid level switch, with my multi tester and found it was not sending enough current to the cold water inlet valve, so it would not open and let cold water in. I replaced the switch, (it was a snap) literally it snapped in place. replace the front face and turned the water back on and plugged in the washer, and turned it on. It worked perfect and has been since. good and easy repair even for a novice like me.. Read more
This complete agitator assembly includes the auger (upper portion) and base (lower portion) that work together to move clothes through the wash water in a top-load washer. The base sweeps clothes outward while the auger spirals them downward, creating thorough cleaning action. Replace this assembly if clothes are not getting clean, the agitator wobbles excessively, or the auger no longer ratchets and moves independently from the base.
I replaced the entire agitator (my appliance agitator could only be replaced in one part not the upper part only). It was super easy but one thing....the video on the website was not helpful because my maytag washer is older and does NOT have a screw down inside the agitator but has one 1/4 inch hex nut on the side down by the base. Good for me though because all I had to do was unscrew the nut, put the new agitator on, tighten the new nut and DONE!! Read more

Washer won't advance through cycles or skips steps? This timer controls wash, rinse, and spin sequences. Moderate DIY repair restores cycle operation.
The washing machine intermittently would not agitate or spin. A reset of the timer dial fixed it. Then nothing fixed it. Originally thought it was the timer but father wanted to check out other possibilities. So he brought his meter over and went through all that he could, including checking power to the motor below. All was good electrical-wise. On the holiday, January 1, a rep. at AppliancePartsPros assured me that if a new timer did not fix the problem, I could return the item, even... Read more
