Maytag double oven range front right 'hi low' burner outer element burned out Wm B. • Monkton , MD • June 12, 2014
Range has no model ID plate anywhere. Flip off electric at circuit breaker box. Opened top of range and noted details of the faulty burner, including confirm that outer coil was fried. The maker info on back of element was useless in finding replacement: more useful was general shape, and the numbers around edge on back. Close up range, since low heat element still working.
Turns out all Maytag double oven Gemini ranges use the same hi-low element, but double check appearance just in...

I called GE and they sent a tech out. $89 service call. Had I REALLY inspected the oven the hidden element had blown and separated and part of it welded itself to the inside of it's compartment. GE wanted another $350 to come back and fix it. I bought the part here for around $55 and had it running again in about an hour!

The bottom bake burner had broken and would not heat the stove. Susan L. • Mission , TX • March 05, 2024
The stove was a 40 year old drop in model so we had to turn off the breaker to the oven before getting started. We removed the baking racks then used a small drill bit to remove the old baking element making sure not to allow the wire to slip back into the back of the stove (very important). Installed the new baking element by slipping the wire connector onto the new element. Replaced the screws, restored power, tested the oven and voila it worked. Easy peasy.

GE Monogram oven temp was too low and it took a long time to cook food. Kathleen A. • Saratoga , CA • January 11, 2023
In the middle of Christmas baking, I noticed that it was taking a really long time to bake bread. Since I had already done 5 batches and the timing was always the same, I knew when I had to add 20 min, something was wrong. My oven thermometer (I bought at target) no longer worked so it was hard to tell the exact temperature. First, I went and bought a new thermometer to see the actual temp, then I set the oven to 350 degrees and checked to see what the thermometer was showing. It was almost 50...

The bake elements on my 2 side by side ovens were not working Judith S. • Philadelphia , PA • August 27, 2015
I ordered 2 bake elements and bulbs and was able to easily fix 1 of the ovens. The serviceman who repaired the left oven did not repair it correctly so, one of the wires was not accessible so, I could only fix one oven.
After shutting off the power, I EASILY fixed the right oven - with a LOT of care and a little elbow grease - in disconnecting the broken element, by doing exactly as it said to in the video, making certain not to allow the wires to slip back into the hole that it was pulled...
