Oven failed to light broiler also didn't light for a year before oven failed burner ignitor loose Seaborn H. • Conroe , TX • November 20, 2016
Replaced both ignitors. Since I was working on the range I also overhauled the final 2 of the 6 burners on the stove top. Venturi tube and jet nuts were frozen and could not remove drip tray for cleaning and access to ignitor clip. Had to drill out Venturi tubes using a tapered bore bit. Used Dremmel with cutting wheel to remove jet nut. This range has been heavily used since new for 16 years. Works like new, again.

A spark electrode was cracked; the ignition switches for some burners had failed; and rubber grate pads were destroyed or missing Wayne K. • Redmond , WA • September 26, 2018
Of course, before disassembling anything, I unplugged and turned off the gas supply.
To replace the spark electrode, I removed the drip pan/surface to gain access to the burner assemblies. Next, I unscrewed (with a 1/2" open-end wrench, I think) and disconnected the gas supply tubing from the burner assembly with the cracked electrode, and then unscrewed the assembly itself from the base surface. With the assembly detached, I flipped it over and removed the screw that secured the cracked...

The igniter on one burner put out a weak spark and would not light James M. • Yorba Linda , CA • February 08, 2015
Appliance pros had the part. Incredibly, we received it the next day. They sent a confirming e mail with general instructions on how to replace it. Worked like a charm!
Our's is a Bosch unit. The retaining brass nut in the center of the burner is an odd size-20 mm which I did not have among my many automotive metric tools.
The local Auto Zone though had a 20 mm socket. Once that was removed the procedure would have been a breeze except the retaining screw on the old igniter was frozen. ...

Stove top ignitors not working Daniel M. • Gilroy , CA • November 24, 2015
I removed the burners and replaced the igniters. The burners must be removed because the igniters go underneath them.
This job turned out to be very difficult because my stove is 16 years old and the screws holding down the igniters were completely rusted and bound to the stove top, so I had to drill out all of the screws. Also, the burners were bound to the gas flues by mineral deposits and separating them was very difficult.
Once I got the stove top up, I threaded the igniter wires to the...
