The heating element contact ears and the terminal block contacts were burnt on the existing burner. I ordered the new terminal block kit and surface heating element from Appliance Parts Pros. Delivery was exceptionally fast (I just used regular shipping). The new terminal block kit came with very long wires, so I cut them and installed new terminal ends, rather than zip-tie the long wires together. Very happy with repair. Read more

Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on. • Takes too long to dry

Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. Burner element was broken and partially melted. Didn't know if element or switch or kettle started it. Switch smelled burnt and bad; "burner on" light was on regardless of switch position. Traded with another burner switch; light went out. Ordered new infinity switch, burner element, plug for burner element, & drip pan. I tried swapping the cables around by putting the cables from the burners that would light onto the ones that didn't light. When I did that the problem would move. So this is how i determined that the issue was with this module and not the burners or cables. Once this new module arrived it was simple to disconnect the old one and put the cables back on the new one. I tested it (holding by breath!) and then all of the burners started. HOORAY! Read more

I bought the replacement knobs from Appliance Parts Pros.com and they were much better knobs that what originally came with the unit. They are actually metal and the plastic posts that connect with the range are a much higher grade plastic. To be honest I think the stove works better than it did when it was new. Some of the original knobs may have been broken when we purchased the unit. Replacement took under 5 minutes for all of the knob. Oh....and by the way....they appear to be the same... Read more

I took it apart to troubleshoot. I was pretty sure it was the switch but wanted to make sure it wasn't the element as well. Sure enough the switch was burnt at a little piece of copper protruding out the side. The plastic was blackened too which was a telling sign. The element was fine. I replaced the switch, turned on the cooktop and it worked again. Apparently, these switches are wired in series because when this one went out the rest of them wouldn't turn on either. Read more
