It was a learning experience. First I turned off the power! I removed the lower kick plate, disconnected the drain hose and electrical connectors. Then removed the discharge pump and heat sensor then loosened the 4 hold down arms/clamps. Then I opened the door and pulled the base up from the inside. Now to remove and replace the Pump Motor. Then reverse the process. If I were to do again, I'd pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back. Read more

This was a difficult problem to diagnose. My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off. Ordered the parts and followed the instruction videos that Sears provide, Initially tried to order parts from Sears directly but the web-page kept complaining about my shipping address. Their loss- no wonder they're going out of business. Also, should note that the original assembly was plastic but the replacement was metal. Sure sign of a crappy cost-cutting decision.
