This genuine OEM Part is a choke temperature control rod for lawnmowers. The choke temperature control is the metal piece that regulates the choke temperature allowing for it to function properly within a lawnmower. If the choke function is no longer working efficiently, it might be time to replace the choke temperature control. Luckily, replacing this part is a simple repair. Before beginning, make sure the engine is cool to avoid getting burned. Locate the old choke temperature control rod and remove the screws to the mounting assembly that hold the rod in place. Once removed, lift the old choke temperature control out and away from the mower and set it to the side. Replace with the new control rod and secure the mounting screws. Start up the mower to see if the choke function is working properly. If it does, the installation was a success. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with MTD brand lawnmowers.
This throttle assembly cable is manufactured by Craftsman, but also used by Poulan, to regulate the flow of fuel to certain small gasoline-powered engines. This assembly houses the throttle trigger that is used by almost a dozen different machines, including not only trimmers, but also pole saws and other small gasoline-powered tools. Apart from the cutting edges of the pole saws and trimmers, the parts of these devices that sees the most wear and tear, and is most likely to fail, are the throttle assemblies. Whether banged about because of proximity to the throttle trigger or simply because it's the only part protruding from the mid-body of the typical weed cutter, the throttle assembly housing and cable are susceptible to failure. Most often, failure of the cable is the result of one of the buds, attached at the ends to clasp securely, having broken off. In this case, the gasoline engine may start, but will not rev or only does so sporadically. Replacing the cable is a matter of removing the throttle housing and trigger as well as detaching the cable from the carburetor. When replacing the cable, be sure to use one like this, which is a genuine OEM replacement part, manufactured to replicate the specs of the original.

This drive control cable from Husqvarna is what connects the transmission to the handle drive control level so the transmission engages when a lawn mower is pushed over grass. The cable can sometimes experience problems like breaking, being damaged, or freezing up in its sheath, which can make the lawn mower impossible to move. The first step to replacing a drive control cable is removing the spark plug wire and making sure there is no fuel in the lawn mower. Next, the cables need to be released from the handle before removing the drive cover. At this point, the drive control cable can be taken from the anchor post and removed. The new drive control cable should be attached to the transmission, the drive cover should be reinstalled, and the drive cable will need to be installed on the mower handle. This control cable is designed to be used with lawn mowers made by Husqvarna and Craftsman. It is an original part that comes directly from the manufacturer and it is sold individually. To replace the drive control cable, pliers will be needed for the job. Basic tools may be needed to handle the replacement.
