Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. Ordered a new switch (4456027) from you. You seemed to have the best price and guaranteed that it was a OEM part -not everybody did. I had repaired Jenn Air cook tops before so I thought this was not a problem. Wrong. Mostly it was my own stupidity. I exchanged the wires from the old switch to the new one at a time but did write down where the original wires went. Flipped the breakers back on. Only one heater got hot. I changed out the white burners for black ones which will be easier to clean. This is a simple matter of removing two screws on each burner. The one igniter switch turned out to be okay, but was not fully seated on the valve shaft. As to lighting off issues, the new burners helped, but the most improvement came from removing the burners and cleaning the orifices that supply gas to the burner tubes with a bit of fine wire. Replaced harness. Read more

Replaced igniter under each burner knob. Used needle nose pliers to remove the electrical connections (2) of the igniter then slipped it off the gas valve shaft. Replaced with new igniter (click in place) and replaced electrical connectors. Took about 15 minutes to complete. Read more

Replaced shorted wire and blown switches. Read more

Slid the oven out. Opened the control panel. Shut the power off. Replaced the switch. reversed the steps. Read more
