Replaced the door assembly Before taking the door off the washer I painted the hinges with a little finger nail polish to enable the hinges to be replaced correctly. Used petroleum jelly on the outside of the vent grommet (18) so it could easily be slipped on to the door liner. Also used the petroleum jelly on the bottom of the vent tube (17) to fit into the vent grommet. Removed the broken glass (what was left) from the door. Then I removed the mounting frame from the oven. Put the new glass into the frame and then back into the oven door. Tighten the retaining screws a little and re-installed the door on the stove. Perfect! The real story is the shopping experience.
