• Won't start

1) Ordered part. 2) Removed front panel by loosening the two screws at the bottom front. 3) Removed old Safety Switch/Lid Lock by disconnecting wires (plug and 2 female disconnects) 4) Reconnected all wires and reinstalled switch. 5) Replaced front panel. 6) Tested Unit. 7) FYI - I found that the locking mechanism stays locked until cycle completely finishes on its own. DO NOT force the cycle to end. Lid will NOT unlock. Read more

Our washing machine door boot seal was getting moldy and causing odor problems. Cleaning tablets and bleach weren't helping so it was time to be replaced. While I had the top and front off I changed all the hoses that could be collecting soap scum and mold, all other wetted parts were removed and washed. Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... I had one element that would operate wide open when turned on the low setting. It needed the switch replaced. I replaced the door boot with a new one from AppliancePartsPros.com. The most difficult part was starting at the back end of the new boot onto the stationary rim, just in front of the tub. And then anchoring it in place with the existing spring from the previous boot.
