First we tried to change the filter. Water was leaking from the area of the filter when we changed the filter. We purchased an "original" Fridgidaire filter, no change. Did some research on the internet and decided to change the two tubes and the filter valve (at the back of the filter housing). I had to pull and clean the pressure sensor switch four times in a year. Each time more gunk accumulated. When that happens the sensor does not close the water valve. The dishawsher keeps filling and the water comes out through the overfill port. The water then goes in the catch basin under the washer and floats the emergency switch. I used the live chat feature to describe the symptoms (freezer was fine, fridge was too cold, water filter/line frozen) and she made recommendations and showed me exploded view PDF's of the location of each part. Evaporater fan would not run. Unplug the fridge and plug it back in and the fan would run for a while. Installed the UI-KIT SXS and the problem was fixed. Walk into the kitchen on 21 Sep. Eight year old Frigidaire refrigerator appears to be short cycling, controls are nonfunctional. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it back in, appears to return to normal function. Return to kitchen half hour 45 minutes later it's short cycling again. I had a friend and a repair guy tell me it was the start relay that needed to be replaced, which was an easy fix. My friend said just to unplug the start relay, replace it with the new one, and it should be good. I've never tried to repair a fridge, and that was the easiest repair ever.
