Replace your cracked, broken, or damaged refrigerator meat pan. This drawer installs in the fresh food section to store meats and perishables separately.
I removed the meat drawer and shelving unit. I unscrewed the Philips head screws on either side of the shelf brackets. I cleaned the old surfaces and fitted the new plastic hangers in place. I screwed the new hangers in place with the screws I had from the old ones. It was very easy, except the holes in the plastic hanger are not quiet big enough for the screws. I had to push very hard with the screwdriver, and started to strip the head of the screw as well at the screwdriver itself. I did... Read more
Ice maker stopped making ice or won't eject cubes? The control module regulates ice production cycles. Simple 3-screw replacement restores function.
SO I FIGURED THAT ALL THE MECHANICAL PARTS OF IT WERE FINE SO THE LOGICAL THING TO DO WAS TO REPLACE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WHICH CONSISTED OF THE THERMOSTAT {THE BRAIN} AND THE CONTROL MODULE WHICH I PURCHASED AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE . I REASSEMBLED THE UNIT AND IT HAS BEEN WORKING LIKE NEW EVER SINCE. THANK YOU! Read more
Dryer not heating or clothes staying damp? This heating element restores proper drying. Moderate DIY repair—requires disassembly and multimeter testing.
The dryer is a Kenmore Laundry Center, model 417-99570150. Bought in 1998, so it is an older model. Not wanting to buy the newer ones that are out now. We opted to fix the Kenmore. Just believe the older models are worth fixing, if at all possible. Frist we had to figure out what parts we would need and if the cost would be worth our time. I went on YouTube: and type in Kenmore dryer not turning on. Watched several videos to narrow down the possible problem. Next step was to... Read more

Interior light not working when door opens? This light switch controls refrigerator illumination. DIY-friendly install takes 30-45 minutes with video.
I ordered a new switch from APP and fixed my fridge. However, the video posted for this repair on this site is not applicable to newer refrigerator models. I have a 2015 GE GTE18IHCRSS and had to drop the control housing (#432 in the diagram) to attach the wire/plug assembly to the switch. Only had to remove the front screw with a 1/4" nut driver and that provided enough of a gap for me to plug in the switch. So the correct method to replace the light switch in a newer model refrigerator is as... Read more
Washer won't agitate or makes clunking noise? This thrust washer reduces friction in the transmission system. Easy DIY repair with video guide.
Pulled the washer apart (using your videos as a refresher) and found that the plastic coupling between the motor and the transmission had failed. Searched for parts vendors and found your site. Ordered the coupling on-line and went back down to clean up the machine. In the cleaning process I found a damaged thrust washer for the upper agitator and broken drive dogs for that same agitator. I went to the website to see if I could augment my initial order. I did not want to pay shipping costs... Read more
Microwave won't start or runs with door open? Failed door switch prevents safe operation. Simple DIY fix with basic tools in under 30 minutes.
Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch. Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were... Read more
Directs water from the supply line to your icemaker. Replace if cracked, broken, or leaking. Installs at the top of the refrigerator behind the panel.
I ordered the part from ApplianceParts Pro.com and could not believe how fast the part arrived. It arrived by FedX the very next day after I placed the order. The repair suggestions that was given on your web site was right on. The repair was so simple. I was thinking that I was going to disassemble the ice maker to access the connections but with the very simple guidance you provided, the repair took maybe a total of 20 minutes from start to finish. Awsome!!! Read more

Dryer won't start or stops mid-cycle? A broken door catch prevents secure closure, triggering safety shutoffs. Simple snap-in replacement, 1 minute.
The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Lack of parts and hardware challenged the effort. For example, the blower assembly did not have the slide capture for the motor. I had to use the old one which is showing its age. With the exception of the drum... Read more
Ice maker stopped producing ice or cycles too slowly? This complete ice maker assembly replaces a faulty unit. DIY-friendly installation in 10-15 minutes.
Ice sensing lever (keyed onto mtr shaft) found down and would not budge. Also, test button (hidden beneath mtr) only 'beeped' when pushed. The 10 pin connector's 'clip' is also hidden against roof of freezer - mine broke but connection still seems secure. New unit was exact fit - test button (now) cycles thru one cycle of rotation and H2O fill with no beeps.... 18 hrs later, bin is half full....ice for the summer :) Remove freezer door (front) so you can lay down and look up. Cold plastic... Read more
Fix OE error code or washer won't drain issues with this pump housing. Common DIY repair taking 30-60 minutes. Includes video guide for replacement.
I took it apart and found the drain pump motor had come apart. I found appliancepartspros.com and read the reviews for this company. Customers were very satisfied with the parts and service. I ordered the parts (at a savings of over 30% from my local appliance store) and had them in 2 days (YES TWO DAYS). Totally excellent service. Put the washer back together and it works like new. The repair was very easy to do myself and saved me well over $100. I recommend your company to every do it... Read more
Flexible drain hose carries wastewater from your dishwasher to the kitchen drain. Replace if cracked, leaking, burst, or damaged by wear or pests.
I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. Upon disconnecting the drain and checking its connector I indeed found the round piece totally blocking the hose and acting as a seal. I removed the piece... Read more
