Samsung electric range door would not open after cleaning cycle Christopher H. • Breckenridge , CO • September 15, 2014
With the help of several You Tube videos I was able to diagnose the problem. Diagnosis was confirmed with the help of a multi-meter. The thermo fuse was dead. I ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros on Wednesday and it arrived via UPS on Friday afternoon. The fuse was very easy to remove and replace and my range was up and running in less than 15 minutes. Local repair service wanted $100 to do the diagnosis plus parts plus a return trip for installation. I got the part from Appliance Parts...

Oven came on with the temperature dial in the off position and wouldn't turn off Jason V. • Lake Worth , FL • January 13, 2016
The repair was relatively simple and quick. The only part required was a new oven thermostat assembly and the tools I used for my model was a flathead screwdriver, cross-point screwdriver, torque bit and 1/4 inch socket using a bit driver. To complete the repair, I did the following:
1. Remove all top stove burner pieces and place to the side. Remove the 3 three screws (torque bit) in each of the 4 burner locations. That will allow the top lid to separate from the main unit later.
2. Pull...

Broiler element was burned and melted Victoria L. • San Diego , CA • January 21, 2015
I ordered the replacement part; after it arrived, I turned off the power to the oven - watched the video on how to replace the part, which was fantastic as it told me to make sure when I disconnect the old element not to let the wires fall behind the oven (that would have been a big problem b/c it's a wall oven) - However, one wire still slipped back a little - so I used needle nose pliers to retrieve it. Was able to plug the new one in - screw it into place with the original screws. I made...

The Light Bulb (40W) is an OEM component for GE refrigerators. As an essential task lamp, it illuminates the interior of the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
All light bulbs will eventually burn out with consistent use over many years. Vibration during compressor cycles can also potentially disrupt bulb filaments faster.
Symptoms of a burnt out refrigerator light bulb include:
- Dim or no light illuminating inside refrigerator shelves
- Shadows and dark spots making it difficult to find items
- Higher utility costs from leaving the door open to see inside
This bulb is also compatible with refrigerators from brands like Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Nothing worked except the light :) Przemyslaw B. • Wallington , NJ • September 20, 2014
I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. Great instructional videos. Thanks

One day it didn't heat up for baking Matthew M. • Greensboro , NC • July 01, 2017
Watched the video here, took the leap that burner was the problem and ordered it. Also found another vid on you tube that was more specific to my Kenmore. Tip: find out how to take off the oven door. For mine it was very easy but not detailed in the APP vid.
I followed instructions in APP vid but also first took off back panel of range and tested resistance of old burner to ensure that was truly the problem (as suggested by other YT vid). Also, dis/connecting the wires from the back is easier...

One gas burner on ge cook top would not ignite with switch Daryl O. • Sammamish , WA • December 01, 2015
I removed all the individual burners so I could lift the stainless cover to expose the igniter wires. I cleaned all the wire connections and the 4 good igniters and replaced the one bad igniter. Reassembly was easy and everything worked properly when done.
Video of repair was helpful and all parts ordered were correct and shipped promptly and I will definitely use AppliancePartsPros again.

Microwave would say "cook" and timer would count down but turntable would not rotate and magnetron did not turn on Kathy K. • Athens , GA • January 12, 2016
Checked the three door switches; used ohm meter to see if there was resistance or if a switch was bad. 2 out of 3 switches showed resistance with the ohm meter. The last one tested (of course the last one) NO (normally open) did not show resistance; I.e. the ohm meter reading did not change when the switch was depressed. Appliance parts pros was the only company that had the same model number I was looking for (SZW-V16-FD-63). I ordered the relay switch, 2 days later it arrived (regular...

The knobs that came with my ge cafe series stove were plastic and were complete crap! 5 out of 6 of them had split and were not turning the metal pegs inside properly David W. • San Ramon , CA • April 02, 2015
I bought the replacement knobs from Appliance Parts Pros.com and they were much better knobs that what originally came with the unit. They are actually metal and the plastic posts that connect with the range are a much higher grade plastic. To be honest I think the stove works better than it did when it was new. Some of the original knobs may have been broken when we purchased the unit. Replacement took under 5 minutes for all of the knob. Oh....and by the way....they appear to be the same...

Ge oven would not reach temperature set and seemed to be an intermittent problem Billy L. • Auburn , CA • October 24, 2014
I found exploded parts view of oven and looked for oven sensor probe and control card parts. I also looked at great videos and read past repair stories. I decided the problem had to be one of the two parts (probe or card) and ordered both.
I decided that the probe should be changed first rather than involve a circuit card. I changed the probe and tested the oven and it works again.
