Range / Cooktop / Oven Heating Element

First, I just unscrewed all nuts that are holding the frame and all surface elements. Once all parts, surface elements, control switches, are loose from the original glass, I just moved all parts to the new glass. Just took out old elements and then old pans. Replaced all 4 pans followed by 4 elements. Had to adjust element leads to get a secure level fit. Looked like a new range top when completed. The job was completed in less than 15 minutes. Read more

Installed replacement burner. Not a one-to-one fit where the wiring is concerned but everything needed to effect the change out was provided with the part. It is important to make notes of what was connected to what on the old one and to compare that to the new one. I used a download of the wiring diagram to good effect because it has the color code for the wiring on it. • Little to no heat when broiling

Turned off the oven power at the breaker box. Removed the (2) 1/4" screws holding the front support bracket and removed the front support bracket. (This bracket is necessary as the broiler element is in the top of the oven) Then I removed the (2) 1/4" screws holding the element against the back of the oven, gently pulled the element away from the back of the oven to expose and unplug the (slip on) electrical connections, and removed the burned out element. • Little to no heat when baking

Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

Simple replacement of the heating element. Found multiple videos on youtube that show how to to do this repair. The cooktop is easily opened by removing 3 screws, but I recommend having a second set of hands when performing the repair because you will have to hold up the glass stove top and unscrew the components. So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. • Element will not heat

It was very easy to find the part we needed, I put the model number in and it showed all the parts. Picked the broken buner, ordered it and was amazed, it came the next day. The directions were on the back of our stove. Simply followed what it said to do. Replaced burner, put it back together. Works perfectly. Wish we would of fixed it sooner.
