Washer Dryer Combo Pump

It was fairly obvious that the washer drainer motor had failed, water was not draining, filter was clean (bottom lower left panel door, have a pail ready!) and drain line was not blocked. Someone had provided great advice on the Appliance Parts Pro's site about replacing the drain motor from the bottom. Great suggestion! So, Saturday, the washer wouldn't drain, yes, I tried the Drain/Spin cycle. So I took the clothes out, rinsed them out twice in the laundry sink and dried them. After a quick Google search, I came to the conclusion that the pump was bad and ordered a pump, $125. I ordered the parts myself. A prominent appliance store in town told me it would be very difficult to get the parts needed. However, I found it to be relatively easy! After taking apart the washer (with a little help from Youtube). I made the repair myself, and now my wife can do the laundry! Read more

When I removed a bunch of very wet soaking towels at the end of a wash cycle, it was clear that the water was not draining properly.
