• Not cleaning dishes properly

This was a problem that I'd had previously with this mixer. The worm gear, which is designed to fail (so that more serious damage does not occur to the motor), did fail while I was mixing some multi-grain bread dough. Installing the dispenser unit requires taking apart the door of the dishwasher. I cut power to the dishwasher, removed the outer door cover by removing 14 star screws, unplugged the power from the old dispenser and unscrewed 6 tiny socket screws that secure it to the inner door, and popped the unit loose from two plastic clips that hold it in. Steam vent baffle had failed and was not fully closing. Bottom seal also crusted with hard water deposits, and mildew on door insulation from leak. Replaced vent assembly, new insulation after cleanup, new bottom seal after cleanup. Read more

Still evaluating repair. Still have a leak on left side when running dishwasher with nothing loaded but doesn’t leak when loaded with a full load of dishes. Read more

We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more
