I searched online for replacement parts and Appliance Parts Pros had the part in stock. Before I ordered the part, I watched the video to see if I could handle the repair. I ordered the part and soaked the gaskets with warm water in the tub. The old gaskets had a much simpler setup, so no cutting was involved. Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open. I bought an ignitor at a local store as there was a national holiday the next day and I did not want the dryer inoperative waiting several days for shipping. Left new gasket on the table overnight so it could stretch out. Removed the door. Temporarily replaced it with plastic and tape. Pulled off old gasket. Cleaned surfaces with decreaser and wiped dry with paper towels and alcohol. Inserted new gasket. Replaced door. Read more

I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. I followed a video to remove the inside door panel and gasket. Putting the new gasket was as easy as the video said. The only problem was ice had built up on the inside of the door panel that needed to be defrosted. Read more

Ordered and replaced bellow. It is important to supply the correct model number as my machine is a later model than the one used in the training video. The front panel is one piece, rather than two. Additionally, several of the fasteners were hex head screws, rather than torks. The Bellow is somewhat different having an opening for the light fixture. This repair was performed on a Whirlpool Cabrio clothes washer Model # WTW5640XW0 which has the digital electronic controls rather than the older style timer, electro/mechanical controls.
