First we googled the problem and watched several videos on what could be the problem. Then we called in a repair man - $125 to test and get his diagnosis but we watched him take it apart and test. He said "throw out - these are disposable machines". The dishwasher is only 3 years old!. Removed bad board. Put in new board. Make sure you have the foam seal for the steam vent. This is the second time I replaced the board and when I took it apart, I moticed I didn't have the foam seal in place. I either didn't receive one with the new part or I didn't realize it it needed to be there. But that appears to have allowed steam and some water to make its way into the door cavity and short out the board. Read more
