This is the large surface heating unit for an electric range or cooktop. Replacing a failing unit restores consistent stovetop heat so cookware warms predictably and meals cook evenly.
Originally, we had mistakenly provided the wrong model number for our Frigidaire cooktop so the wrong part was sent to us. It didn't fit properly so we investigated the problem with one of the customer service reps at Appliance Parts Pro and finally resolved the situation. The proper part was purchased, it was sent to us and we were happy to discover that it fit perfectly, as did the drip pans we ordered. Problem solved! Thanks to Garrett C. Read more
Radiant surface element for smooth-top electric ranges that restores consistent heat to a 6-inch burner so cookware can reach and maintain proper cooking temperatures. Ideal when a burner fails to heat evenly or stops working. What it does:
Good info on the webpage. Took me about one hour to repair which is longer than expected but that included cleaning up the pans and rock which was overdue. Here is the process: 1)Turn off breaker and verify no power; 2) remove cooking grates, rocks, and steel grates from both sides (for access and weight reduction); 3) remove a total of 10 Phillips screws from inside the pans on both sides (8) and the temp control knob box; 4) Now you can raise the pan so you can access the nuts from the... Replaced with new part, so lucky to have found it for my discontinued oven. I love this oven in the convection mode. Thought I was doomed to replace it. Couldnt even find a local electrician to service it, yet alone find parts. Thank you for having the original replacement part! I'm happily baking again.... Read more
Burner not heating? This surface radiant element sits beneath the glass cooktop and restores heat to a cold zone. Moderately difficult repair.
I ordered a new burner and switch. Received all parts in only one day. Shut breaker, pulled out the range to work on it. Removed the front panel to replace the switch first which was the easy part of the job, only 6 screws. Installed new switch, turned on the breaker to test and found that the burner heated up proving that only the switch was bad. Shut breaker again, reinstalled front panel, reinstalled the range and turned the breaker back on. Just in time for Easter dinner! Returning... Read more

I watched a few video's online to see how others had fixed it, then I tried to do research on the element part number. Appliance Parts Pro's were very helpful. I had to submit my model number off the stove/oven and a very helpful Customer service rep named Dannette from APP sent my pictures to their research dept. Bake element provides the oven's lower heating source so food cooks and browns properly; replacing a faulty element restores normal bake performance and addresses no-heat or uneven baking issues. What it does:
Searched the internet for a replacement and ordered it from APP and it arrived quickly. Removed three screws holding the original heating element in and disconnected the spade connectors and pulled out the old element. The spade connectors were a bit loose, so I tightened them up with a pair of pliers and re-installed the new element. Oven works great now.
