The full story: Dishwasher stopped running mid-cycle. When I first began troubleshooting I tried manually advancing the timer knob, and the machine would run. Once I received the element within three days, I simply removed the other element by unclipping and unplugging lugs in rear. Placed the new one in clips and connected lugs and all was good! Read more

I have used this site before to fix my dishwasher, so I knew to check here first. I searched other's comments to troubleshoot my problem. Ordered the part and it arrived in only a couple of days. Replacing head burner d solved the problem. The 8 year old original developed a mild warp, replacing it was the solution. GE gas cook top Model JGP933SEK1SS. I replaced the other burner caps for a cosmetic renewal. Read more

Replaced element. The new element was perfect. The shipping was perfect. Installation would have taken less than 10 minutes if the two range wires attaching to element had been 1 inch longer. Attached thin nosed vice grips to wires at spade terminals to facilitate attachment to element. The repair was simple enough but it would have been perfect if GE engineers had made wires 1 inch longer. Read more

I wasn't sure if it was the heating element surface, the receptacle or the switch. My wife does some canning so it had some good use. It turned out to be the receptacle. I purchased the element as well thinking it needed replaced anyway. All works now. All three items are/would be easy to change. Read more

I first felt along each heating element (bake and broil) hoping to find a rough or blistered place on them. But they were both smooth with no irregular places. (replacing the elements would have been the easiest and cheapest repair. Pulled the back off the range (unplugged, of course) - checked wiring. There were no loose connections or burned wiring.
