This push-button switch controls electrical power or function circuits in compatible Bosch appliances, restoring user input and on/off control when the original switch fails. What it does:
Pulled up the cooktop, opened it up, took out the broken switch, replaced with the new switch. The new switch was installed with shorter screws which were included with the new switch. I didn't know this and was glad they were included with an explanation. Read more
Fix a gas burner that won't light with this igniter switch. Controls the spark signal when you turn the knob. Moderately easy DIY repair.
This is a push-button style switch used in the cooktop burner ignition system. It activates the spark module to ignite the gas when a burner knob is pressed or turned. Replace this switch if a burner no longer sparks when you attempt to light it, or if the igniter clicks continuously without stopping.

This right-side burner switch controls heat output on the cooktop so burners respond correctly to your knob settings. It restores proper power and temperature control for a single right-side heating element. What it does:
I replaced the burner switches, since we had been having trouble with specific burners igniting unless another burner was tuned on. Then I replaced the spark module since the flame and the burner being turned off were not being detected and burners would not re-light if the flame went out. Read more

I decided to change out the left side element and switch. The parts received from AppliancePartsPros cross-referenced perfectly to the OEM model numbers and appeared to be exact duplicates. SAFETY ALERT: Must shut off the power! The install required an electrical skill set, but for the most part, the average handyman can snap a couple of pictures or create a color scheme wire chart to ensure the female spade are landed in the proper locations; 15 to be exact. It required that you take off the top of the stove. The micro switch is between the inside pan for the burners and the outer frame that holds the complete stove top in place. The removal of the screws and nuts that hold the switch in place was not to bad, but you had to make sure that the nuts did not drop down into the outer pan.
