I ordered a new soap dispenser and began a new venture in repairing my dishwasher.
I turned off the breaker that suppled power to the unit.
I removed all the T-15 torx screws from the inside cover except one, which my wife helped me hold in. This prevents the cover from dropping off. Then, after removing those two, we closed the dishwasher cover, and lifted off the outside cover. That being off, I saw the two wires connecting the dishwasher dispenser solinoid. Removed them. Dishwasher had begun going through the cycles with not enough water in the chamber. Suspect was the water inlet valve. Checked the AppliancePartsPros video for this repair and ordered the valve from them. It arrived in a timely manner -as usual- and I pulled the dishwasher out, removed the kick toe cover, then the structural brace behind it then removed the valve. Installed the new valve, replaced the bracket and the toe cover and dish washer is back in service like brand new.

The pump impeller came apart so it was not pumping the water and making noise.
The dishwasher came apart easy but the gasket to the sump assembly stayed attached to the bottom of the tub and did not pull it off. I was running my thumb around the gasket to see if it was in good shape or if I needed to replace it and sliced my thumb open on the sharp edge of the tub opining.
