The Hub is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is the central mechanism which attaches to the tub and facilitates rotation of the upper spray arm above dishes.
Causes of a bad hub include wear from years of repeated rotation, accumulation of hard water scale deposits inside moving parts, or accidental impact damage. This reduces proper function over time.
Symptoms of a bad hub include:
- Loud clunking or grinding noises from the center mechanism
- Reduced cleaning performance on upper racks or portions of dishes
- Dishes showing water spots or soil in sections not adequately rinsed
- Inability to attach or move the upper spray arm assembly smoothly
This OEM GE hub replacement is also compatible with Crosley, and KitchenAid models.
