Dish washer was constantly beeping after an outage. Read online that this was due to a short in the control strip. Bought one here which arrived in a few days. Took 10 mins and a screw driver (Philips head) to fix it. Read more

I ordered a new Panel-Control. The old one was removed easily by taking out six screws. The old panel lifted, then tilted out. The electronic circuit board was disconnected and attached to the new panel. My new panel did not want to fit in properly at first. The bottom of the panel contained two alignment tabs that the old panel did not have. The stainless steel front panel needed to be cut on top under these tabs for the control panel to properly seat. Removed and unplugged dishwasher. Opened door and peeled off touch pad. Removed the screws that held the door together. Gently separated the inner and outer parts of the door. Removed the cable for touch pad. Fed new touch pad cable into door from top. And pressed cable back into fitting. Reassembled door. Plugged dishwasher back in and reinstalled into cabinet. I bought the part from APP.com and the replacement was simply. I pulled it into the receptacle, put the door back together and then adhered the new keypad to the door. This tool about 30 mins in total and only need a putty knife to remove the old one and a screwdriver to put the door back together. Probably saved myself a $200-$300 labor repair cost. Read more

My unit would sometimes start. Sometimes not. Reset and start are the same key and either it did nothing or it would drain or it would start. While the video did match my unit. It was close enough to help. I removed the front per the video and snapped in the new control strip. Fixed in less than 10 minutes with only a manual screwdriver. Read more

Given that I had 14 house guests for a week, I tried calling a Maytag repair man to expedite the fix - unfortunately, he didn't have the part, but did identify the problem as a bad control panel. I ordered the part (#W10235721) from Appliance Part Pros (which was quick and easy) and received the right part the first time and very quickly. I replaced the control panel. I guess the problem could also have been the control board. I felt more certain about purchasing the control panel after removing the old one, and ohm-ing out pins that should have indicated small resistance when pressing front panel buttons, but all indicated open circuit. Ordered a new control panel and installed it; The repair is super easy and it would not take more than 10 minutes were I to do it again but because I had never done anything like this before I got stuck at one point and it took me a lot longer. I could not figure out how to get the electrical box off the old control panel - it was just a matter of bending the middle part of the plastic clips but I had not seen that kind of clip before and it was not immediately evident. First we googled the problem and watched several videos on what could be the problem. Then we called in a repair man - $125 to test and get his diagnosis but we watched him take it apart and test. He said "throw out - these are disposable machines". The dishwasher is only 3 years old!.
