This is the front control panel for the appliance's console. It houses the user interface and protects the electronic controls, restoring a clean look and proper button/selector operation when the original panel is damaged or worn.
Based on feedback found on the internet, I knew it was either the control panel or control board. Ordered both and it turns out I only needed to replace the control panel. Really easy fix. Turned off the power, unscrewed the top 6 screws to open up the control panel. Removed the cover and disconnected the ribbon cable. We replaced the thermal fuse as recommended by Appliance Parts Pros as 59% the problem and since it was only a $20 part we decided it was worth changing. We also replaced the touch pad /control panel for $160 (not the entire control component). We also discovered once the dishwasher was apart that the door latch was broken. Removed and unplugged dishwasher. Opened door and peeled off touch pad. Removed the screws that held the door together. Gently separated the inner and outer parts of the door. Removed the cable for touch pad. Fed new touch pad cable into door from top. And pressed cable back into fitting. Reassembled door. Plugged dishwasher back in and reinstalled into cabinet. Googled constant beeping, not starting and was directed to the keypad controller. Ordered it, it was delivered next day. Removed the screws on the door, lifted the old keypad off with a knife since it is just glued on. Cleaned the old glue off with acetone and laid the new strip on. Could not have been easier. Removed 6 screws, pried off the board/cable protector, then removed the lock and logic board off the old control panel. The tricky part is removing the ribbon cable and not bending the prongs on the logic board. Reversed the steps to install the new control panel purchased from you guys,.
