Unplug oven! Remove the faceplate by pulling off knobs and removing 4 plastic nuts from burner switch knob stems. Then remove 6 (combination #2 square and Phillips) screws and remove the metal backing plate. Unscrew two small screws in front to remove the burner switch from the backing plate behind. Reviewed YouTube entries that included similar issues and watched how to replace the control assembly. I ordered a replacement control assembly from AppliancePartsPros. The right part was delivered to my door within a few days. I followed the example seen on YouTube, swapped out the assembly and the dishwasher is back to work, no problem. Stumbled upon Appliance Parts Pros web site and after some research bought 2 circuit boards. (UIB) Interface Board AP4501702 and ESEC Relay Board AP5780950. I carefully replaced the UIB board first and it solved the problem. Things like taking the door off can be found on the internet and took me far more time than actually replacing the board. I have never used APP before but understand that the other board is returnable. I am a very happy and future customer. Read more

After taking the top off the washer I found the Tech Data Sheet ( for repair person ) The E53 code was listed as Low Voltage to the motor board and referred me to test #15. Which stated to check the "drum water NTC" ( Negative Temperature Coefficient or Thermistor). What was misleading was that there are 2 NTC's. If your washer has a "Sanitize" feature , then there is a drum water NTC as well as one on the fill valve body. IF you have the sanitize feature then you need to replace the drum water... Read more

Checked compressor windings - ok. Start relay looked no rattle or burning. Start capacitor seamed ok but hard to check. No 120VC to start relay at any time. Ordered thermistor, and electronic control unit. Figuring it was a bad thermistor not telling the ECU it was warm and to turn on the compressor. Or the ECU was damaged and was not sending the 120v to the compressor. Changed the thermistor first (cheapest part and as Appliance parts pros has a return policy I wanted to start there). ... First we paid a USELESS appliance repair person to come out and tell us the cost to repair the unit would exceeded the value of the unit. Which I fold to be amazing as it was a $3000 electrolux icon. We spent $245 on a new inverter board and it's working like new!!! Read more

Found online how to test for issue removed upper back panel with nut driver tested heating elements, temp sensor and controller came down to controller for oven, ordered part standard delivery was at my home in a day and a half WOW, unplugged from wall removed all electrical connectors to controller 4 screws then removed the touch pad from the old controller reinstalled pad on new controller then reinstalled controller and back panel plugged back in to wall.
