I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. From watching the video I got the general idea, disassemble 50% of the dryer. Only had 2 differences in my dryer from the one used in the video, so the video was helpful. The one difference was the connections to the front side of the dryer were on the power distribution circuit board located on the left of the dryer under a sheet metal cover. I replaced the warped cover guide and the lint filter. Now it works perfect! Sears was going to charge $100 just to diagnose the well known problem, not including parts and labor. It only requires 4 screws(i used the old ones). Easy fix. Read more

I replaced the adjusters on both sides (since two rollers broke off on one and one broke off on the other). Replacement was easy, just remember to keep the clips from the original adjusters. Take the clips off, remove the adjuster, replace with the new adjuster, and replace the clips. The new adjuster comes with the rollers already attached so no need to keep the ones from when plastic axle broke on the original adjusters. Read more

Visually inspected bottom heating element and found that it had failed. There was a @2" gap of missing element and burned debris below the damaged area. This was discovered 3 days before Christmas. 1. Open under oven storage drawer and look on the left inside frame frame for Model ID and Serial No. 2. My Kenmore 790.74139310 gas range was taking over 30 minutes to reach 350F. It used to take a little less than 10 minutes. The problem was the ignitor for the lower gas burner. It would glow but not pass sufficient current to increase the gas flow to the lower burner. Once at temperature, there is of course loss of heat when loading the oven with room temperature food.
