First off I want to say Appliance Part Pros rock! I have used them for purchasing repair items for other appliances in the past, so when my washer started making weird noises this was my go to source. I thought my problem was likely pump motor related as the water wasn't draining and I could hear the sound of the pump trying to work. I replaced the Tube to pump hose which was very easy. I just tilted the washer on it side and replaced the Hose. Read more

I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. None of the hoses were leaking - no evidence of corrosion or water mineral residue at any of the hose fittings. So, it must have been something else. First - shut off water valves & unplugged electric. Second - opened up back of washer & removed top part as well. Third - turned hot & cold water back on one at a time to see where the leak was coming from...lucky for me it was the inlet valve which was right there at the back of washer. Turned water off again. Rebalanced the load but noticed the drum was sitting lower and the springs were wore out and it went out of balance easy, so i got the suspension rod kit and installed it and it works much better. It took me 2 hours because i didnt have adequate room to move around. Hour job if you have room. Read more

Looked online at several websites to see if I could figure out the problem Came across AppliancePartsPros video on replacing bearings. Watched it a couple of times and determined (well, guessed) it was the bearings and/or spider. Followed the video (great job by the way) and disassembled the washer. The spider was cracked on one arm so ordered a new one from this site. LG Washing Machine WM3885HCCA I searched the Appliance Parts Pros "Get Repair Help" tab, typed in the LG washing machine model number (WM3885HCCA), watched videos and searched for the parts shown on the diagrams of my LG washing machine. I removed the top cover and found the left main suspension spring broken. Appliance Part Pros had the new springs (2 I replaced both) at my door in 26 hours. Excellent service from this company. After disassembling the drum from the chassis of the machine, it was very easy to replace the springs. i do wish however that I had purchased a higher quality machine. LG refused to do anything to help and the machine is only 3 years old and gets minimal use. Hats off however to Appliance Parts Pros.... Read more

• Will not fill with water

After watching the YouTube video provided by Appliancepartspros and checking various forums I determined the dispenser motor had gone out. Turns out, it was a two part problem. The connectors to the motor, and the motor had corroded. Cleaned them both with vinegar. The old motor did a load before I started having problems with the CCU. Not knowing for sure that the problem was the capacitor, I was reluctant to purchase and replace the part. I went AppliancePartPros.com web site and clicked on the part replacement video.The repair video was short and well illustrated. Before the repair began, the service rep says, " the reason you would replace the capacitor is that after turning the timer on, the machine would just hum." Repairing the problem was the easy part. Diagnosing the problem took a little more time. To diagnose the problem, it took longer because I first cleaned the Drain Pump trap from all the material it collected. Socks, hair pins, and other materials that were not cleaned from pants pockets. It then still did not drain. Repeated the process after finding more materials and a toy that punctured the hose between the tub and the drain pump. Running the drain and spin cycle takes about 11... Its under warranty so I called Sears repair. The Technician determined the pump was bad order. After a month of waiting for Sears to order the part and the back and forth on the phone, I looked for the part myself. You guys sent the part and in 2 Days my washer is working again. My wife and I along with Mat on the video replaced the upper and lower friction pads, along with the balance springs. The machine runs smooth as it did new.
