This is the electronic phase control board that regulates the motor speed in a stand mixer. It adjusts power delivery to the motor based on the speed setting selected by the user. Replace this board if the mixer runs at only one speed, does not respond to speed adjustments, intermittently stops during operation, or fails to turn on entirely.
I replaced the Board-Phas and speed control plate since power was not making it to the motor. When I received the speed control plate it had nuts on the upper screws with springs, since my old one didn't have nuts I assumed that the nuts were to keep the springs on until installed. After putting it back together, I noticed that though it worked, the first two settings did nothing. Now, guys, I was desperate, OK. I downloaded the service manual and read it from front to back, and when I got to... Read more

Fix a refrigerator that won't cool, cycles on and off quickly, or has a non-working ice maker with this electronic control board. Manages temps and defrost.
I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. The freezer was hovering around freezing and the refrigerator was about 33 deg. I unplugged the refrigerator and it came back on and ran about a day. The next night, same thing. This time cycling power did not seem to help. Removing the rear cover where the control board was and moving it around allowed it to turn on next time I... Read more
Freezer icing up or fridge warm while freezer works? The defrost timer controls defrost cycles. DIY-friendly fix in about 1 hour, saves $150+ on service.
I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it. I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat. You-tube had plenty of videos on replacing those parts and even before they arrived I was able to add a switch and bypass the broken thermostat and start a cycle manually with the timer. (which it seems was was still functional). Between that and cycling some ice packs up from the still working... Read more

Dishwasher won't start, stops mid-cycle, or shows error codes? This electronic control board manages all cycles and functions. Moderate DIY repair.
All of the repairs were incredibly easy, however the experience might be different for everyone. My skills and background experience make troubleshooting and repairing fairly easy for me. I began the journey by troubleshooting out some of the peripherals such as the float mechanism and door latch switch by using a multimeter to ohm them out. I then moved towards the thermostat and turbinator. I measured the resistance on the thermostat and it seemed to be fine. I then cleaned the turbinator... Read more
