I replaced the rear tube that feeds water to the top and middle spinners, and this appears to have fixed the problem. The middle spinner, which is attached to the bottom of the top rack, has a tube that connects to a hole in the middle of the rear tube.This hole has a rubber flap and I noticed that this flap was wide open. I can't believe that we lived with this shelf bar continually falling off for years due to a broken end cap. Easily found the replacement end cap on AppliancePartsPros for our 18 year old refrigerator. The "repair", if you can call it that, took perhaps 30 seconds -- remove old broken end cap, insert new one. Done. No more shelf bar falling off. One of life's little annoyances just went away. Removed torx screws attaching stainless liner to outer stainless door. Lift off inner door and carefully separate the electronic components from where they snap into the control panel. Relocate electronic components to the new control panel. Reattach the inner liner with the torx screws. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the control panel while making the electronics swap to avoid pulling on the wiring harness.
