Very easy to replace. Take off cover to auger compartment. Unplug power connector from auger motor. Remove four screws holding auger motor to refrig. Put new auger motor in place, insert screws, insert power connector, replace cover. Use ice maker! Read more

I had verified that the water supply was healthy, so it was either the icemaker unit or the water valve. I replaced the icemake first, based on a the pareto showing it was the culprit for most other people, but it didn't help. That replacement was straightforward; the hardest part was reaching all the way back to unclip the wiring harness since I am too lazy to totally empty the bottom freezer and remove the door. I replaced the rear tube that feeds water to the top and middle spinners, and this appears to have fixed the problem. The middle spinner, which is attached to the bottom of the top rack, has a tube that connects to a hole in the middle of the rear tube.This hole has a rubber flap and I noticed that this flap was wide open. Removed torx screws attaching stainless liner to outer stainless door. Lift off inner door and carefully separate the electronic components from where they snap into the control panel. Relocate electronic components to the new control panel. Reattach the inner liner with the torx screws. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the control panel while making the electronics swap to avoid pulling on the wiring harness. Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP.
