• Door won't open or close

The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy. I looked up why the door was not staying shut. I watched a Youtube video and found it was an easy repair and a few dollars in parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. I had previously bought parts from here, are reasonably priced, and they come in quick. I changed the door parts in 1/2 an hour and it was working great. Saved me from buying a new refrigerator. Removed oven door, took door apart replaced oven hinges. Pulled oven out of recess to access hinge receptacle. Replaced hinge receptacle. Read more

The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first. Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side... I REPLACED THE HINGE ASSY ONLY BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO PURCHASE THE SPRING ONLY. THIS IS 3rd TIME I REPLACED THE HINGES BECAUSE OF A BROKEN SPRING. IT WOULD BE CHEAPER IF ONLY THE SPRING COULD BE BOUGHT. Read more
