The tray was simple, pick up the old one, pop in the new one. The gasket for my refrigerator was almost as easy. When I received the part I opened it up and let it lay flat for about 3 days (probably overkill). The old gasket popped right out and the new one went in really easy. The rubber seal/gasket was torn on our KitchenAid refrigerator right side door. I purchased the replacement and followed the directions/recommendations of how to prepare the new gasket for installation. When it's removed from the shipping box, it does have wrinkles and preparing it is a must. I set it out on our tile floor and then used a heat gun (low setting) to warm it up and massage it. I checked repair videos on line. Put in my brand and model. You tube had a video how to dis assemble my model. Video made it really easy, I would never have figured it out. Now checked videos from Appliance Parts Pros to troubleshoot the fix. Checked all thermostats and fuses with ohm meter they checked out perfect. I had an authorized Whirlpool service tech come to look at problem diagnosed problem as water inlet valve leaking ordered the part. After 11 days I was told part was on backorder from Whirlpool. Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much.
