Right front burner was out Jimmie L. • Pelion , SC • August 29, 2016
So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. Make sure you turn the power off before beginning this process. When lifted up the wires connected to the...

Heating element on our oven burnt out Jay S. • Medway , MA • November 23, 2015
Simple replacement of the heating element. Found multiple videos on youtube that show how to to do this repair. The cooktop is easily opened by removing 3 screws, but I recommend having a second set of hands when performing the repair because you will have to hold up the glass stove top and unscrew the components. The heating element is attached to a bracket that comes off easy as well. Also have to detach 5 wires that mate by sliding together. We took a picture before removing to make...

This 8-inch surface coil element restores a burned-out or damaged heating element on an electric cooktop. It delivers consistent 2100W heat for everyday boiling, frying, and simmering, so your range burners perform like new.
- Provides direct, even heat for pots and pans on coil-top ranges
- Common symptoms: surface element won't heat, heats unevenly, or cycles off prematurely
- Visual signs can include blisters, breaks, or hot spots on the coil
- Helps resolve issues caused by a failed element rather than the switch or receptacle
What's included: One 8-inch, 2100-watt surface coil element Installation notes:
- Unplug range or switch off circuit breaker before servicing
- Allow the old element to cool completely before handling
- Pull the element straight out from the receptacle; align and push the new one fully into place
- Inspect the element receptacle for heat damage and replace if needed for best results

The elements were fine, problem with the drip pans Michael S. • Sedalia , CO • March 15, 2020
We had ordered and installed the drip pans and when we took a look, we knew we needed new elements. Those were perfect; exact replacement. The problem was on the eight inch units, the rim of the drip pan touched the element. It was a simple matter of removing a small bit of the drip pan where the element enters. Aircraft snips and a little polishing with a Dremel tool, and all is well. Wife loves the new elements.

Left back buner didn't work Madonna W. • Greenville , OH • November 20, 2015
It was very easy to find the part we needed, I put the model number in and it showed all the parts. Picked the broken buner, ordered it and was amazed, it came the next day. The directions were on the back of our stove. Simply followed what it said to do. Replaced burner, put it back together. Works perfectly. Wish we would of fixed it sooner. Saved having to have a service call.

Baking element stopped heating up Gerard N. • Endicott , NY • January 03, 2015
Simple fix. Our oven is a GE dual fuel (gas burners on top, electric elements inside) model # J2S968SOH4SS. The lower element hidden underneath the bottom drip cover stopped heating. I had to remove the front door of the oven which is also easy to remove in order to slide out the lower drip cover. Instructions to do this are in the owners manual. Before removing the element I put the oven on bake to test the element and held my hand just above the element to feel for heat which there was none....
