Replacement door hinge for laundry center appliances. Restores smooth opening and closing when original hinge is cracked, broken, or worn out.
The parts arrived in a timely fashion. I was able to replace the valve and pressure switch in a relatively short time - about an hour. A tenant called me to thank me and said that the machine is working well. The hinge arrived broken. I informed AppliancePartsPros and I received a replacement hinge the next day. I was very impressed! Putting the new one on was not difficult; about a half-hour in total. BTW, I am self-taught, with the help of online videos, in the repairs of our machines (a... Read more
Replacement door hinge for front-load washers. Supports door weight and enables smooth opening/closing. Replace if cracked, broken, or causing door sag.
After years of replacing the female electric latch switch that controlled the operation of the machine, I discovered that the window/door's handle's connection to its male latching hook had failed. The two were no longer interconnected. Also, the window/door's frame and hinge were materially "fatigued" meaning the hinge/body assembly was allowing the window/door to sag - causing the misaligned door/window to machine body electric latch switch to break when the window/door was closed. Replacement lid hinge for top-load washers. Mounts between the lid and cabinet. Replace when bent, twisted, rusted through, or cracked from wear.
I replaced a broken part which attaches the hinge to the lid spring assembly and replaced both hinges which were twisted/bent. The springs themselves were ok but a part in the assembly had broken so one spring was shouldering the entire weight of the lid and the hinges had twisted. This machine is not that old and it seems as though the glass lid is a little too heavy for the hinges. I was very impressed with how easy it was to locate the replacement parts online and how fast they showed up. Read more
This door latch assembly secures the appliance door closed so cycles can start and run safely. A worn or damaged latch can prevent the door from locking, stopping the unit from operating or causing it to pause mid-cycle.

Left-hand lid hinge for washer top panels. Replace if rusted, cracked, or broken to restore smooth lid opening and proper alignment with lock mechanism.
I obtained the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. There were no videos or instructions for the repair. I chatted on line with customer service rep for the repairs . You have to remove the three screws in the back of the control panel cover and remove same, but be careful no to detach any wiring. Then you can access the screw that hold in the springs. On the left side you have to remove the liquid bleach cup, which is clipped in before removing the spring. Springs solved the problem. Read more
This lid bumper cushions the contact point between a washer lid and the top panel to reduce slamming noise and protect the finish. Replacing a worn or missing bumper restores smooth, quiet lid operation and helps prevent paint damage.
Called a Maytag repair man, said "the bumpers are no longer available". These little things are actually critical to operation, because the lid safety switch needs to be pressed back far enough to sense that the lid is closed, and without the bumpers, this is a little iffy. I looked up the parts on the internet, came across AppliancePartsPros.com and guess what, the parts were available !! Ordered, delivered on time, installed, and I'm up and running. Now I don't have to hear my wife... Read more

After reading up on the error codes, I found that my constant beeping was telling me that the door was not well latched. My machine is 12 years old and has seen heavy use, including a broken door handle that has been hanging on with copious amounts of duct tape for a while. I replaced the bent door hinge, worn door latch, and the outer handle. The entire repair required ten minutes and a Phillips head screwdriver. Now it works perfectly with NO more beeping!! Thank you AppliancePartsPros!! Read more
