Whirlpool Control Board

Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head. I initially purchased a door switch, thinking that it would solve the problem. I replaced the switch by removing the top 6 star screws, removing the component cover and removing one of the door switches (using a 3/16 socket) with the new one that I bought but I still had the problem. Looking at the schematic, the next part that needed to be changed is the electronic control board, which I purchased. 1. Turn off the electricity to the dishwasher 2. Unscrew all of the screws on the inside of the dishwasher door. 3. Take off the door and put it aside 4. Loosen the panel that contains the control board, control panel and the door lock mechanism 5. I replaced the Board-Phas and speed control plate since power was not making it to the motor. When I received the speed control plate it had nuts on the upper screws with springs, since my old one didn't have nuts I assumed that the nuts were to keep the springs on until installed.
