• Element will not heat

Replaced the burner Infinite switches for the burners having the issue. Here are the latest part numbers for this model Maytag. Left rear (LR) and right rear (RR) burners are both 6" and use the same switch. Part # WP3149404. Left front (LF) is an 11 1/2" burner Part# W10167742. Luckily we planned ahead when building the laundry room, as we built a water catch basin and drain under the washer, but waking up to see 1-2 inches of water is never a good sign - even if it is contained. Remove upper and lower baskets for access. Remove 4 Torx screws holding drain/filter assembly, accessing last screw by rotating the water duct clockwise. Be sure to first un-clip the water duct at top and rear of dishwasher so that it can be moved. (Take the opportunity to remove accumulated deposits behind the water duct). I bumped into my KitchenAid dishwasher and the upper rack adjuster cracked. There was already a crack on the notch of the housing where the handle (lever) sits. The drain tube for for the defrost cycle seemed to be blocked, so I googled the repair & it sent me to AppliancePartsPros. Obviously, there's a design problem with this model since many other people have the same issue. This tube is an upgrade on the original for my KitchenAid model (design flaw). • Oven not heating evenly

I began by turning off the breaker. I then removed the screws securing the bake element. I immediately noticed only one side was wired and the other side was burned off. The wire for the burned off section had fallen through the hole in the back of the oven. I tried fishing it out to no avail. I removed two side trim screws, the side trim pieces, and two screws holding the built-in oven into the wall. I was able to slide the oven out and onto a square stool that was the correct height. Then stared on the rack and replaced the rack adjusters and various clips. Everything is straight forward and easy to replace. I originally called a local repair place to have them repair it. Door gasket was easy to remove and reinstall. Original gasket was penetrated while cleaning food stuff from folds in the seal below the frig doors. (Gasket is very fragile so don't try to expand the folds while cleaning. I used my finger and a paper towel but in hindsight should have used a Q-Tip. Also, when installing the new gasket you have to be sure the seam folds over the edge of the door and doesn't get caught underneath. Read more
