Not having any local Thermador support I took the advise from KC on the repair forum. The repair consisted of removing and replacing the control and relay board. The hardest part of the job was working behind the stove while it was pulled from the wall. ( didn't want to scratch my floor ). Replaced control panel and overlay it was very easy. Just four screws and a few connectors.. If you plan on replacing the control board be sure to order a new overlay also. It makes the repair so much easier. Read more

This couldn't have been simpler! Removed the glass panel by taking out 4 screws on the bottom that were accessed by opening the oven door. Lifted up, then pulled the panel forward, released one electrical connection, and the panel was disconnected and could be laid on a flat surface. I put in a new oven control board. So instead of putting the temp knob 80 degrees higher than it should, I dont have to do that anymore. This is an LED display module that mounts on the control panel of a range or oven. It shows temperature settings, cooking times, error codes, and other operational information. I repaired the problem by replacing the Power Board assembly and the daughter relay board. Not sure which one was the problem. Since I had it apart I replaced both. So far the unit is working like new. Everything was plug in, so I didn't have to worry about complex wiring. I took pictures prior to disassembly to make sure I got the reassembly right. This is a relay board that controls power to the surface burner elements on an electric range or cooktop. Stumbled upon Appliance Parts Pros web site and after some research bought 2 circuit boards. (UIB) Interface Board AP4501702 and ESEC Relay Board AP5780950. I carefully replaced the UIB board first and it solved the problem. Things like taking the door off can be found on the internet and took me far more time than actually replacing the board.
