My 15 year old son and I examined the new parts and made a plan for how we were going to take the front off of the oven. Turns out it was fairly simple. We removed the knobs, the knob shrouds, two philip screws on the side of the head and about 6, 6mm hex sheet screws. Voila! It came apart. Luckily, replacing a control board is a simple process.To replace the board, first, make sure the oven is unplugged. Gain access to the back of the oven and remove the upper back panel. Once the panel is removed, locate the old control board. Take note of the orientation of the wires by taking a photo with a phone camera. Disconnect the wire harness and any individual wires that are attached to the old board. Re-secure the wires into their correct positions. Not having any local Thermador support I took the advise from KC on the repair forum. The repair consisted of removing and replacing the control and relay board. The hardest part of the job was working behind the stove while it was pulled from the wall. ( didn't want to scratch my floor ). 1. I ordered a new burner. It didn't fix it. 2. I ordered a new burner switch. It didn't fix it. But still needed to be replaced because I cold see itt had burned out. 3.
