Checking for part replacement.....found your website.....I thought I had the right part, but called the tech/order line. Spoke to a very knowledgable tech, which she checked the stove serial # vs the part I thought I could use. The Tech advised that it WAS NOT and related the findings. Replaced element. The new element was perfect. The shipping was perfect. Installation would have taken less than 10 minutes if the two range wires attaching to element had been 1 inch longer. Attached thin nosed vice grips to wires at spade terminals to facilitate attachment to element. The repair was simple enough but it would have been perfect if GE engineers had made wires 1 inch longer. Read more

With the help of Wendee and Karen, we finally figured out my model numbers and which parts where correct. I ordered the parts and all arrived the next day except for the Broiler element which arrived in 2 days. I installed the new Baking Element myself. Took longer to figure out which curcuit braker to turn off. In about 30 minutes I had a brand new Baking Element in my oven working perfectly. On the following day, I installed the Broiler Element. The most difficult part was figuring out how to take the door off as the manual instructions were not clear. Thank you, YouTube for your help. This door doesn't have the more modern release latches. You open the door all the way and stick Allen wrenches into the holes that appear by the joint of the latch. So, after looking for replacement parts, I found these. I was delighted. My original knobs were plastic with a silver finish. They had blistered from the heat of the stove over the years. The replacement knobs were all metal. Price was right. Very happy. Read more

Removed and replaced 3 door switches and mounting bar that holds switches plastic gets brittle with age and each switch comes out slightly different from each other, the chances of breaking a mounting pin is very easy. care should be taken when snapping mounting bar back into place to insure top latch and bottom latch locate properly insure bar is proper aligned when tightening screws their is free play in mounting bracket that could affect door properly engaging switches.
