• Will not fill with water

I took the inlet valve apart, found it was clogged with sediment, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it. Water was still not filing, so I figured the valve was sticking. I ordered a new valve,because $30 was a lot cheaper than a new dishwasher. I took out the old valve with two screws, and disconnected the supply line, the brass elbow, one hose, and a wiring harness. She indicated that this would normally mean an issue with either the heating element, the high limit thermostat, or the control board. I did not know how to remove the broken spray arm so when I muscled it out, the spray arm base broke. We ordered the replacement parts from appliance parts pros and received them within 2 days. I looked online to find out how to remove the spray arm base. I removed it be unscrewing the base, screwing the replacement base, and then snapping in the new spray arm. We tested the dishwasher and it worked just like it was new. Another new task learned and completed!! Read more

I hated to call a repair Guy, because by the time it takes them to do the service call and then order the part, then schedule another appointment. It would be at least two weeks. First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. The main conduit was broken and the pump connector had a hole in it. The pump also was showing signs of leaking. I completely disassembled the dishwasher cleaned everything and reassembled. The repair videos are a big help. Thank you. Read more

My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off.
