My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off. Dishwasher needed to be disconnected from power and water supplies, removed from the cabinet and placed on it's back to gain free access to the underside of the unit. The motor-pump unit removed ( just three screws and two wire connections ). Once the motor unit is removed, the filter-pump part 'rests' on the end of this unit and just lifts off. My first thought was to take the dishwasher to the dump when I saw the pack rats ate the wiring while it was in storage. I did not know how to remove the broken spray arm so when I muscled it out, the spray arm base broke. We ordered the replacement parts from appliance parts pros and received them within 2 days. I looked online to find out how to remove the spray arm base. I removed it be unscrewing the base, screwing the replacement base, and then snapping in the new spray arm. We tested the dishwasher and it worked just like it was new. Another new task learned and completed!! Read more

• Will not fill with water

I took the inlet valve apart, found it was clogged with sediment, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it. Water was still not filing, so I figured the valve was sticking. I ordered a new valve,because $30 was a lot cheaper than a new dishwasher. I took out the old valve with two screws, and disconnected the supply line, the brass elbow, one hose, and a wiring harness. First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. After reviewing the other repair stories related to this "7 blinking light" syndrome, I contacted their support staff via Chat. I relayed my symptoms along with model number of dishwasher. She indicated that this would normally mean an issue with either the heating element, the high limit thermostat, or the control board.
