The Timer is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It controls the electrical components and the timing of the dryer cycles, ensuring that clothes are dried for the appropriate amount of time.
Over time, timers can become faulty due to normal wear and tear, electrical surges, or internal mechanical failure. If the timer motor fails or the contacts inside the timer wear out, it will no longer be able to accurately regulate the dryer’s cycle duration.
Symptoms of a bad timer include:
- Dryer not starting
- Dryer running continuously without advancing through the cycle
- Dryer stopping mid-cycle
- Inaccurate cycle times
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
