Water was accumulating in the drawer pedestal, it was leaking from the front of the washer so I thought it was the front door seal. I also noticed it would leak even when the washer was not being used so I doubted it was the door seal. Micro stopped working with accompanying loud hum and burning smell. Pulled out of cabinet (micro/stove combo by Electrolux) and found blown (and partially melted) magnetron. Easily found exact replacement on Appliance Parts Pros--ordered, and had micro back working in 2 days! Great search engine and pictures of parts are so helpful;. Have ordered from these folks in the past and will probably do it again. $100 part versus big cost for repair service or a replacement. Read more

This is the second time of needing repair. I remove the ice bucket, open the crusher, remove the 5 blades. Straighten the blades, reinstall. I then order new blades, The next time it happens I will install the new blades. The reason for the malfunction, (my guess), two ice cubes partially melted stick together and the size and angel the enter crusher cause the problem. I took the easy fix first and replaced the Capacitor. That got me three loads before the motor burned out. I ordered the motor from AppliancePartsPros.com after a google search for "best price model # 134159500 Drive motor " The part arrived in 5 days, and it took about 15 minutes to remove the old motor and replace it with the new one. Switch replacement was easy: -unplug fridge -using medium flathead, pry out old switch, starting from back, be gentle it's all plastic -when switch pops out, grab the wires and don't let them fall back into hold -there should be three wires -connect to new switch in same pattern -push new switch back in, being careful to orient it correctly while replacing the freezer switch, i noticed that one of the wires had loosened up and detacted from the old switch anyway, which was probably the actual... Previously, I removed the lower rear cardboard back of the unit and saw the crack in the defrost pan. It was probably damaged when unit was moved using appliance hand truck. I looked up the part number AP4319611 in the exploded view diagrams of the unit. The part was ordered and delivered in a few short days. First we tried to change the filter. Water was leaking from the area of the filter when we changed the filter. We purchased an "original" Fridgidaire filter, no change. Did some research on the internet and decided to change the two tubes and the filter valve (at the back of the filter housing). Must have been the right diagnostic and the right part to make the repair, Gave me an opportunity to clean the condenser coils as well. After 6 years of service they needed it badly. Read more

I watched the video posted by Jerrod Sessler on yellow van handyman.com. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Then I disassembled the tub assembly and remove seal and both bearings from the rear half. At this point I cleaned everything.
