I unplugged the stove. I opened the oven door and removed the two srews holding the front of the cooktop to the stove. I raise the cooktop then remove the four screws holding the burners to the cooktop. I remove the four screws from the hinges then I removed the cooktop. It was easy to remove the old top and replace it with the new. the only thing we couldn't find the heat resistant silicone strip that goes between the counter top and the glass cook top. we ended up reusing the old one. maybe it should come with the replacement top? Read more

Needed to replace burner box panel (pan under electric coil burners) and replace stove top (black panel that surrounds the burners).
